We believe in one God, revealed through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We affirm the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the foundation of our faith and salvation. Scripture guides our beliefs, and love guides our actions. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.
Pastor Dwight Woodward – Shepherd of Faith and Community
Pastor Dwight Woodward leads Newbury United Community Church with humility, wisdom, and a deep commitment to God’s Word. A lifelong learner and servant-leader, he combines theological insight with practical compassion, making faith both accessible and relevant to today’s world.
Rooted in scripture and driven by love, Dwight guides others in their walk with Christ through thoughtful preaching, pastoral care, and active ministry. Under his leadership, Newbury Church remains a welcoming, inclusive home where all are invited to grow in faith and community.
Beyond the pulpit, Dwight is known for his down-to-earth presence, genuine care, and willingness to walk alongside others through life’s challenges. His daughter Loretta’s recovery from a traumatic brain injury in 2015 continues to inspire his ministry, reinforcing his belief in prayer, perseverance, and the healing power of faith.
An avid swimmer and cyclist, Dwight finds renewal in movement and nature—habits that mirror his approach to faith: steady, grounded, and always forward-moving.
